What a summer!
The past few months have been characterised by major changes, sporting challenges and many other highlights. Of course, we don’t want to withhold any of our summer experiences from you. So here is our #hotelsonnereview.
In the beginning was the end
Yes, you read that right! We started the season with the end of our reconstruction. The façade shines in new splendour and the entire entrance area, including the reception, as well as the ski and boot room have been completely redone.
Admittedly, we were sweating a bit towards the end of the remodelling phase. But everything was finished on time and we were finally able to open the doors for you again.
And then things went in rapid succession.
Best of Austria 2024
We were excited and incredibly grateful when the Falstaff Hotel Guide named us one of the best hotels in Austria. We would like to thank everyone who voted for us, our great team and, above all, our wonderful guests.
And action!
We continued with exciting days of filming for our new image film. It shows you Ischgl and our Hotel Sonne from their summery, calmer side and should awaken your anticipation for the next mountain summer. We hope to welcome you to Ischgl next summer.

True to this motto, we also wanted to aim high again in terms of sport. #teamhotelsonne
And what can we say, we are overwhelmed. Tanja Stroschneider took second place in her class at the Ischgl Ironbike. Our team also enjoyed great success at the E-Bike World Championships. One of our Team Hotel Sonne members even won a gold medal.

New name - familiar quality
‘Genussrestaurant Sunna’
Our restaurant has got a little makeover and now welcomes you under the name ‘Genussrestaurant Sunna’. The feel-good charm, the modern atmosphere and the varied culinary offerings will of course remain the same.
Traditional Tyrolean fare meets first-class cuisine from the world of fine dining, because when it comes to quality, we always remain true to ourselves.
What an honour
Towards the end of the summer, we were honoured with a fantastic award – the Travellers’ Choice Award. This puts our gourmet restaurant Sunna in the top 10% of restaurants worldwide. Thank you very much for your numerous visits and the great reviews.
But enough of looking back. Let’s look ahead and look forward to an exciting 2024/25 winter season.
